The Ike’s Food & Cocktails concept originated as a stand-alone restaurant.
After much success, it was decided to open a new location at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. We had furnished other Ike’s locations so the challenge to create a furnishing package for an airport eatery was one we gladly accepted.
To help customers enjoy their dining experience without having to navigate a sea of luggage and outerwear, we devised a custom booth just for this application. By building the booths on risers and leaving the base open on two sides, a “storage space” was created where customers could easily store their carry-on luggage. The coat posts with hooks at each booth back provided the solution for the outerwear problem.
